Today we’re in sunny Long Beach, visiting the newly renovated Westin Hotel. From 1902 through 1910, Long Beach was known for being the fastest growing city in all of the United States. Now home to high rise buildings and vibrant nightlife, The Westin hotel represents everything we love about Long Beach.
Vanrooy Design In Santa Ana, who is known for going above and beyond and pushing the limits of modern contemporary looks, came up with this custom design for the restaurant’s feature wall. SoCal Counterworks in San Marcos took on the task of cutting and installing all of the Neolith slabs by hand and brought Vanrooy’s amazing yet complex design to life.
Retrostone 6mm silk was used for its full-bodied Terrazo look as well as Arena 6mm satin that has a light limestone grain pattern, which worked perfectly to accent each other. With Neolith’s 125 inch long panels, the installers were able to accommodate the full length of the wall with ease.
